..on the traffic light orange I used to get from henna (before I started mixing the
henna with cloves). I wanted to get it to a more 'true' red, so by the same reasoning
as you, I decided to get a purplish red, figuring the blue in the purple would cancel
out the orange, so I would end up with 'real' red (unnatural fire-engine red). the
shade I used was called 'magenta'.

turned out this special effects stuff is POWERFUL. it turned a colour that I can only
describe as purple, indeed very close to the swatch they had in the store, just a bit
darker maybe. anyhow the blue was definately very much there.

since I didn't bleach before I used special effects at all, I imagine you don't have to
worry too much about cancelling the traces of henna in your bleached hair. it will
probably turn out vibrant enough.
