We had great results on my daughters dark blonde hair using the hair
gloss recipe in Fia's mixes - a couple of teaspoons of henna mixed
with lemon juice, wait for dye release, mix with plain yogurt (I
added a little honey) and smoosh all over. For Brigid I wrapped her
head in a baggie and let it set an hour or so. It was SOOOO shiny
and pretty, just a hint of red which was brighter on the lighter
streaks and in the sun, and not too much for an 11 year old <G>
You can increase the amt. of henna and time on for more red.....it
worked great! People have asked her what brand of "color wash" she
uses, so I guess it's noticeable....Have Fun!
