Suggestion/ offer to Catherine and all: Translators

Not having had the chance to lurk here in a bit, when I returned to
catch up on things I noted a fair few 'international' posters, i.e.
people from other than the usually English-speaking countries. Which
prompted the question of competent translation where it might be
helpful [not 'babelfish' style], since the site does seem to be
growing in readership. I do realise there are quite a few
ramifications to such an idea, not least of them legal, but what do
you think? For the record, I'd offer where French is concerned, since
I am fluent in that language and teach it as well. Would it help, or
is the idea utter rubbish?
