If your hair is near black (as I'd suspect if you say it's as dark as an Indian girl) you will
never get a rich red from henna - sorry. Henna only puts a reddish sheen over your
existing hair color and conditions the hair.

With near black hair you'd likely get red highlights when in the sun or under bright
lights (stage, studio) and not too much of a difference indoors.
