Thank you so much for all the advice! I've only just checked back
and found all your responses. I think it may well have been my
technique that was the problem, as my hair seems to be staying in
place now. So next time (in about 1.5 weeks, I think, as my hair
grows and then the grey bits show!) I will make it a little runnier
and will be gentler in my application and my rinsing out. I will try
Lush again, as I haven't had any problems with any of their other
products, but if it continues, I'll try another kind of henna.
