: Well, it's been almost a week since I first hennaed my hair. I've
: only washed it once since then(I have dry hair and I don't wash it
: until it needs it). It's rather darker than I thought it would turn
: out the first application, a really pretty coppery auburn. So now I
: need to know what is the best kind of conditioner to use on my
: hennaed hair. I read somewhere that protien conditioners aren't
: good. Is this true? What does everyone else use?

I use shea butter and jojoba oil mixed together, which I fingercomb through my
hair. Before I started hennaing, my hair was greasy and icky; now it practically
stays clean by itself, and just needs an occasional hot water rinse. It used to mat
on the side of my head; now it's fluffy.
