Hi Jackie,

I would recommend doing a hair test...scavenge (scavange??)...get some
hair from your brushes, or cut some from a hidden spot and test with
the brand you want to use. I hennaed mine about 3 weeks after dying
it with a permanent dye. I used Catherine's henna (www.mehandi.com)so
I trusted it implicitly. I'm not a henna expert so I can't tell you
if yours is pure henna or not. If it's PURE henna, then you could
probably do it now, but if it's not and there are any fillers (good or
bad) you really should test it first so as to make sure it works with
your hair and the remnants of your old dye. You should also test it
to see if its going to come out the color you want or if you need to
add anything to it...indigo, black walnut, clove, paprika, etc. You
should probably also use some of the testing batch and do a spot test
too, to make sure you're not allergic to anything in it. Put a little
on the inside of your arm or behind your ear or someplace equally
inobtrusive and leave it for a couple of hours.

I use lemon juice, water, henna, and cloves in my mix and my hair is a
wonderful deep auburn/red after 3 sessions. I love it and I find I'm
getting compliments from complete strangers which is really very sweet
for the ego! lol

Enjoy!

krazee
