: Goodness, I was not even sure how to title this post. I was using
: Rainbow henna (now I have the good kind on order) and it fades
: dramatically after just one week. I have been using what I
consider
: quality products on my hair, such as Aubrey Organics shampoo &
: conditioner and styling gels. I use jojoba oil to massage my
scalp
: prior to shampooing, and have installed a chlorine removing filter
on
: my showerhead for both the hair benefits and skin problems from
too
: much chlorine.
:
: What is your opinion about the reason for the fading? The not so
: good henna, the products I use, or is there something else I
wonder?
: My hair is quite oily so I have to wash it daily just so it looks
: decent. I have a feeling it might have been the fact that I was
not
: using good henna, but I look forward to hearing your advice.

I think it has more to do with the henna than anything else. In
my case, I use locally available Dulhan henna which is for skin, but
is not the primo quality in skin hennas, but it does give a good
stain.
I use any old shampoo/conditioner I get on sale - White Rain,
Suave...anything that smells good. And I don't have any kind of
filter on my shower.
Despite it all, I have never noticed any significant fading,
besides the usual toning down within the first few days. My hair pic
is in the mixes section - it was taken at least a month after my
last henna job.
