Henna fading & haircare products

Goodness, I was not even sure how to title this post. I was using
Rainbow henna (now I have the good kind on order) and it fades
dramatically after just one week. I have been using what I consider
quality products on my hair, such as Aubrey Organics shampoo &
conditioner and styling gels. I use jojoba oil to massage my scalp
prior to shampooing, and have installed a chlorine removing filter on
my showerhead for both the hair benefits and skin problems from too
much chlorine.

What is your opinion about the reason for the fading? The not so
good henna, the products I use, or is there something else I wonder?
My hair is quite oily so I have to wash it daily just so it looks
decent. I have a feeling it might have been the fact that I was not
using good henna, but I look forward to hearing your advice.
