I was using: Rainbow henna (now I have the good kind on order) and it fades : dramatically after just one week. I have been using what I consider : quality products on my hair, such as Aubrey Organics shampoo & : conditioner and styling gels. I use jojoba oil to massage my scalp : prior to shampooing, and have installed a chlorine removing filter on : my showerhead for both the hair benefits and skin problems from too : much chlorine. : : What is your opinion about the reason for the fading? The not so : good henna, the products I use, or is there something else I wonder? : My hair is quite oily so I have to wash it daily just so it looks : decent. I have a feeling it might have been the fact that I was not : using good henna, but I look forward to hearing your advice. Ok you'll probably think I'm crazy but this is what I do. I buy an herbal mix for hair from WildWeeds.com in the spicy brunette. I make an infusion for shampoo and one for a rinse. For the shampoo I use infusium, I dilute one part of shampoo to one part of herbal infusion made with distilled water, wild weed herbs and red zinger tea. I only make enough to use within a week so it doesn't go bad. For a rinse I use the same herbs, cider vinegar, extra cloves and infuse that for about 3 weeks. When that's ready, I make a strong red zinger tea, add 2-3 tbs. of the vinegar and rinse my hair with that. It works for me. By the way, I also used the Rainbow once but I received some Usha henna from Everyday henna and the color difference is amazing! Much richer deeper color. Really makes the Rainbow stuff look really wimpy!!
