I am also an Asian-American, and I started using henna for political
reasons, to stop using the 'white mans colonialist chemical dye'.
Your hair will not turn flaming orange, it will turn dark reddish
brown. To cover the gray, I would suggest a really good body art
quality henna such as Kimia or Jamila. Add a bit of black walnut to
cover the grey so it doesn't turn very red.
