There is no shine to it. I did a sample and was quite horified by the color. The henna gives some gleam and also red+blue=black. I use the indigo from mehindi.com (the sister site that I spelled wrong!) And I get consistant, fantastic results. I really should post a pict of my latest adventure. L : Please don't bite if this has been answered elsewhere - I probably : haven't looked in the correct place. : : Why do you need to apply henna before applying the indigo? Is it : because the henna draws/allows the indigo pigment to penetrate the : hair? : : I have to say I'm looking forward to using the indigo. For several : years I've gone from chemical dyes to henna -but after a couple of : severe reactions to nasty chemicals, henna is the only way to go : now. I currently use the 'noir' henna from Lush as this is the : easiest available and very simple to use.
