Beets and keeping color fresh

Hi everybody!
I just wanted to know if any of you have ever experimented with
putting canned beets, or rather its juice, on your hennaed hair to
refresh the color? The ingredients are beets, water and salt..that's it.
I just wanted to give my hennaed hair, a more reddish, purplish
shimmer, do you think it would even do anything to the color?
