Henna for dark hair

I have dark brown hair, medium length and have recently switched to
henna because of allergic reactions to hair dye.
I have tried henna twice and my gray roots are not covering well and
come out an orangy red.
Any suggestions?
Has anyone used the Light Mountain Natural hennas? It seems like a
good product.
