Just brown it down, but: still to have red in the sun, and auburn inside, like her virgen hair : had. She is not an ash! So I am thinking indigo is too ash with : the red. Not necessarily. I've used indigo, not the good stuff catherine sells, but store-bought blacks that I'm sure are just indigo with a tiny bit of henna in them. I have to use a LOT of indigo to go ashy. I'm actually fighting the warm tones, but they're putting up quite a struggle ;-). The indigo also washes out very quickly for me. It's possible that her hair may take up indigo better though, as it's been chemically dyed. Another possibility may be to add amla instead of indigo (some people have been reporting it gives slightly different results from indigo), but I haven't tried that myself. It would all need strand testing, unfortunately. : Does anyone have anything good to say about Light Mountain all : natural (but they premix it for you) hennas?? Sorry, can't get that over here in europe. I have tried several over-the-counter premixes here, and some were good - but it seems like labelling is better controlled here, and we also don't get the coarse/twiggy stuff over here in the Netherlands that people complain about on this board. So I really can't tell you, the situation doesn't seem comparable enough. Sorry I can't be more help. Iris
