I'm not a henna expert or anything, but I'm not sure that Rainbow
Henna is really pure henna, even though I'm aware that's what the jar
says. Henna is a ground plant. Grinding anything causes it to go
stale quicker...breaking the protective cell walls, etc. That stuff
sits in those jars for God only knows how long before it gets to the
store let alone to your basket. The folks on this forum in the know
don't have nice things to say about Rainbow Henna overall. The other
thing that confuses me about that stuff...the instructions clearly say
to add boiling water and to leave on your hair for about 30-60 minutes
if memory serves. Body quality henna just doesn't stain your hair
that quickly from what I've seen and read about, and boiling water
will kill the henna, period. I think there is something dodgy about
Rainbow just from those 2 observations, but like I said, I'm not an
expert.

I've done my hair about 4 times and it's always been with Catherine's
stuff from www.mehandi.com and I have NEVER been disappointed. That's
what I recommend to everyone who asks me about my hair, or about using
henna. I even stopped one very sweet lady in our Whole Foods Market
from buying Rainbow for the above stated reasons and directed her
here. It's what I'd recommend to you too. If you like your hair now,
just wait until you see some real good stuff on it!!!
