Don't buy pre-made paste. It's full of chemicals (preservatives,
mostly and hopefully), and generally gives crap stain.

Get henna from one of the suppliers on this site, read the basic mix
directions, and have fun. Paprika and cloves do nothing to swing the
colour permanently, as far as I can tell. Anything they add washes
out in a week or so, for me.
