Iron's pretty harmless (we hope our blood and our diets have plenty of
it!) It weighs a lot but its NOT a "heavy metal" (which has to do
with toxicity, among other things ... see link below)

I think it IS possible that it would contribute to problems with later
synthetic dyes.
