Fia's Recipe, I have some questions.

Hello,
I'm very interested in trying Fia's pectin recipe but have some
questions. My hair is the same length as Fia's in the September 2003
pic on her website and was wondering if using this recipe, will I be
able to use just 50 gms of henna vs. 100 gms. Also I'm concerned
about cooking the henna, would I be able to let the pectin cool to
about 85 degrees before adding it to the henna or will this create a
problem mixing the two? One more thing, can gelatin be substituted?
I would like to try this recipe out cause it would be great if I can
stretch out the henna, use half as much and get the same result.
