making dark hair very brightPosted by Ellie on December 29, 2004 at 13:25:44: Hi!First of all, I feel like finding this site has been some sort of divine intervention: I was looking online for ways to get my hair bright red using conventional dyes, and I found this site. To think that I was about to fry my hair, endure the smells and dangers of whatever Target had on sale, just to watch the color fade in two weeks. I never knew henna could impart such lovely color, and as a bonus, it makes hair pretty instead of crispy! Yay! Here's my question: My natural hair color is med-to-dark brown, with lots of red tones. I am looking to get my hair a nice, rich red, bright as possible. I know that "bright" may not be achivable, but I would like to try. What should I add to the mix to get the brightest red? I don't mind if it leans orange, but I don't want a blue red. Also what amounts should I use in the mix? I have been reading the mix page, but many people don't include every spec of information I am seeking. Thank you for any and all advice! Ellie
