It's nice to know there are others out therewith the same situation. I did a quick little test this morning on another part of my grey with henna, indigo, cloves, and walnut powder. Left it on 1 hour and was pleased that it didn't come out flame orange this time. I wasn't too keen about adding indigo in the beginning because I didn't want to go much darker on my med/dark brown. However if it tones down the orange , I guess I can live with it. So I went ahead an did my whole head this morning anway. Still got it on my head. Knowing that it takes even more days for the henna to darken makes me feel a bit better. I thought when my hair didn't change at all in two days, that that was it! I was thinking of continuing to use indigo/henna mix for the roots only after this if I like it. Time will tell. BTW I have to wonder how all the ladies here got the saran wrap on their heads. I tried that this morning and used about 15 pieces. Finally my head looked like a wrapped up saran wrap ball....:-) It was lots of fun though.
