I just did my first henna this week-end and it was only a month since
my last chemical dye. I had been using chemical dyes for almost 10
years and it was only in the last year that I noticed my hair getting
like straw. One application of henna and it was already softer and
stronger. It definitely needs more conditioning yet, so I plan on
using some cassia in between to help condition it more. I don't know
what kind of henna you're using but I used the body art henna. I
bought if from Catherine here on this web site.

: Hi ... Im 47 years old have used permanents & semi permanents since
: age 30. For some years now my hair has started thinning, drying
out
: and looking like "Witchy Poo" in Puffinstuff (that's for all those
: kids in their late 40's). Currently my permanent brown dye is
about
: 2 inches from the roots... Yes I'm preparing for my first henna
: adventure...and its been two months since my last perm dye job.
: Given that brittle, dry witch hair has been a prob for some time
: (hormonal?, commercial dyes?, blow drying?, ageing?).. I'm
wondering
: whether Hennah applied to commercial dye ...will really up the
: brittle dry factor? Can anybody discuss similar issues.
:
: Thanks a heap
