My hair was super chemically processed, before I hennaed. I had permanent blonde, permanent red, permanent brown and a few semi- permanents, all on top of each other. The first time I used henna was only about 2 weeks after my last semi-permanent colour and about a month after my last permanent. Apart from the very first time I hennaed, I've always used Catherines henna. I've hennaed about 7 or 8 times now and the condition of my hair just keeps getting better and better! I get loads of comments about how shiny my hair is, these days.. and I still have alot of permanent colour underneath the henna. It's in great condition! :o) : Hi ... Im 47 years old have used permanents & semi permanents since : age 30. For some years now my hair has started thinning, drying out : and looking like "Witchy Poo" in Puffinstuff (that's for all those : kids in their late 40's). Currently my permanent brown dye is about : 2 inches from the roots... Yes I'm preparing for my first henna : adventure...and its been two months since my last perm dye job. : Given that brittle, dry witch hair has been a prob for some time : (hormonal?, commercial dyes?, blow drying?, ageing?).. I'm wondering : whether Hennah applied to commercial dye ...will really up the : brittle dry factor? Can anybody discuss similar issues. : : Thanks a heap : Lisa from Australia
