One thing I can speak to is the difference between "bottle" red andthe red that henna produces. I tried for several years to be auburn
or red using commercial dyes (in salons), with pretty unflattering
results with my pale olive (slight green cast, only noticeable when
you put it next to something orange) skin. But the henna makes for a
very, very flattering auburn that I would not have thought possible.
The color is warm and natural looking, not harsh. Hope this provides
some reassurance.
