henna and soft wavesPosted by Jacqueline on January 18, 2005 at 17:23:40: hello!my hair is short (4 inches on top) with loose, silky waves. women seem to envy the waves, but i'm afraid henna would completely destroy them -- since they're SO loose. would mixing with lemon instead of water help? i've read some of the previous posts about shampoo and/or conditioning products affecting curl, but i'm wondering if changing the actual process of applying the henna might make a difference. ? or is henna not for me? i'm planning on henna after i get all of my blonde highlights cut off. that leaves a medium brown hair with the tendancy toward highlights AND i have some thin strands of grey coming in. my skin is pretty light (scandinavian plus german). so any suggestions to get a rich chestnut brown color that doesn't have any orange in it? (and keep the waves, of course!) many thanks -- what a GREAT forum.
