: I have tried using the coconut oil. Some of my Indian clients
: recommended it. My hair is baby fine and dry.
:
: The problem is, it takes so many shampoos to get it out that I
feel
: the hair gets over-dried just trying to get the coconut oil (or
any
: oil) out, that it seems to defeat the purpose of using oil in the
: first place. Am I missing something? My hair doesn't feel good
: afterwards, just dry ends and roots that are too flat.

:
: I wonder if the oil treatment is good only for those with medium
to
: coarse hair.

Hi there,
I have thick abundant hair that is really soft -not coarse. Two
things I do when I apply coconut oil is use comparatively hot water
when washing my hair, plus, work in the shampoo thoroughly followed
by a second round of a short quick shampoo. That seems to do it. If
you have soft fine hair, you could reduce the amount of hair oil you
apply.
Hope this works!
Nash.
