In my 2nd mix I used beetroot powder and a *little* indigo (I think). It made the mix a
lovely color, and the drips that escaped from the plastic wrap were a gorgeous purple
color. BUT as far as changing the color of my hair, it didn't seem much different from
my non-beet color at all ...

I had much more success getting a "cool" color by upping the indigo.

Just my experience! Kim

: I am surprised that of all the teas and juices people are using and
: experimenting with on this forum that no one has mentioned beet juice
: for burgundy henna? I used it many many years ago when I was younger
: and wilder and got a superb shade of raspberry-to-burgundy. I am
: thinking of try it again to see if I can get my highlights a more
: garnet shade for the Spring. If anyone knows any reason why I
: shouldn't tell me now! (LOL or forever hold your peace!--should that
: be 'beets'?)
