Can I use henna on hi-lighted hair?

I have dark brown hair and about7 weeks ago I had blonde and copper
hi-lites put in. A friend of mine went to India and came back with
henna for me (the make is Anoons)She said she would apply it for me,
as she knows exactly how to do it, but i was wondering if it will
make my hi-lites go a funny colour...Does anybody know? Please reply
