: : I have light ash hair with LOTS of white. I hennaed my hair in
the
: : past with body quality henna (twice) and it came out bozo orange
in
: : the front and light auburn in the back.
: Sounds exactly like what happens to me ;-). (I have white blondes in
: the front that won't take colour).
:
: What I do is henna the whole head, rinse, let it dry, and then
: carefully section out the bozo parts and spot-dye them with salted
: indigo. I need to salt the indigo, otherwise it won't take. And I
have
: to repeat the indigo every week because it washes out. But - it
works.
: The blonde bits end up staying lighter than the rest of my hair
(which
: is a nice auburn now), but about the same tone. It looks very
natural,
: I'm happy with it.
:
: The conceptual switch I had to make is spot-dying *just* the bozo
: bits. If I do my whole head with more indigo, the rest of my hair
ends
: up way too dark. Besides, the upkeep of the indigo is much easier
(and
: cheaper) if I only do the bozo parts.

So the indigo isnt permanent just the henna? So If I indigo/hennaed
to a dark color over my bleaced hair, the indigo part would fade out
and I would go back to the red I achieved over the bleached hair?
Thank you Valerie
