I got a light golden(but not reddish)brown from adding oils to the
henna/indigo mix. I used that mix to start off the henna build-up on
bleached hair after a 5 yr. absence from common-sense(ie artificial
dyes). I did not want to be too drastic right off. It was a lovely
shade of golden brown. 50/50 henna/indigo and 1/2 cup of
coconut/almond oil per 300g of h/i, plus I use EOs too. The original
mix I posted (before the one about using salted indigo before the
henna mix)was the one I got the golden brown from. I eventually went
to a burgundy/black from that, but it took about a year, and some
straight henna sessions.
