Others on this forum are much more experienced that I am, but you
might try indigo, black walnut and very little henna. Remember,
henna always will give red, it is the added ingredients that give the
other colors. Also, better quality henna is supposed to give less of
an orange color, more of a deep red. You can also try using coffee
and black tea instead of water in your mix. This has worked well for
me. If you use coffee, don't use instant or decaf and use day-old
coffee. Make sure to check out the mixes and "what's in it" pages on
this website.
