Re: Hair gone orange! I want brownPosted by Jane on March 16, 2004 at 09:38:10: In reply to: Hair gone orange! I want brown posted by Sam on March 16, 2004 at 07:20:33: Others on this forum are much more experienced that I am, but youmight try indigo, black walnut and very little henna. Remember, henna always will give red, it is the added ingredients that give the other colors. Also, better quality henna is supposed to give less of an orange color, more of a deep red. You can also try using coffee and black tea instead of water in your mix. This has worked well for me. If you use coffee, don't use instant or decaf and use day-old coffee. Make sure to check out the mixes and "what's in it" pages on this website. http://www.hennaforhair.com/mixes/ http://www.hennaforhair.com/science/whatsinit.html Good Luck! Jane : I'm not sure what happened to my second message either. It was going : to be moved from the Henna forum to this site but I can't find it. So : here I am agian, posting it on this site. I am not sure what I am : doing / not doing in order for my message to stay up there...? My : message was: : : "I have Asian / Oriental hair which is greying around the temples. I : tried dying with henna and black walnut hull powder but it went : red/orange. The wlanut powder didn't work somehow. I am not sure if I : soaked it right. How do I get a brown tint from walnut powder? Are : there other ways too? Any ideas out there?? Please help!" : : Thanks
