I've done search aftersearch in every database, university and otherwise, and I'm coming up blank for Vashma. Drives me crazy. I need a botanical name to nail it down, and I'm not having a lot of luck. If I can get a week to myself in the research library I might nail it. Areca catechu is more fruitful when I hit the university searches ..... its an antidepressant in rats ........ was used by Bronze Age inhabitants of Viet Nam ......... and I suppose I could look into mutual interactions among ingredients of betel quid in inducing genotoxicity on Chinese hamster ovary cells .... but ...hampster ovaries are not my driving passion, and if I had hampsters, I wouldn't offer them betel quid anyway ............ I digress. Sorry about that. You can get cutch from Dharma Trading....... and woad is sorta indigo lite.
