Any of several essential oils (the word is short for "monoterpene
alcohol") which easily penetrate keratin and carry lawsone with them.
My favorite is tea tree; others are eucalyptus, clove, and a few other
myrtaceous oils, ravensara, and lavender. (I haven't tried all of these.)
These oils dissolve certain plastics. I once put a few drops of clove in
the water of my tooth squirter; it deformed the hole in the bottom
where the valve is so that it no longer closes tight, and I have to put
my finger on the bottom when I fill it.
