Here's the recipe page on its website: http://www.certo.co.uk/Recipes.htm And here's what it says on the back of the jar for standard jam, let me know what you think: Strawberry, raspberry or blackberry jam - makes about 5 lb (2.25 kg) 2 1/2 lb (1 kg) fruit 3 tbsp (45 ml) fresh lemon juice 3 lb (1.4 kg) sugar 1/2 bottle (125 ml) Certo 1. Prepare the fruit and crush thoroughly. 2. Add the lemon juice and sugar to a large pan. 3. Heat slowly until dissolved, stirring occasionally. 4. Add a small knob of butter to reduce foaming. 5. Bring quickly to a full rolling boil and boil rapidly for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. 6. Remove from the heat and stir in the Certo. Skim if necessary. 7. Allow to cool etc. etc. So what do you reckon? How much of this stuff should I use, how much water and how much lemon juice? Should I just mix it all together and boil it for a few minutes? Do you have any ideas about the other questions I asked in my original post? I currently have a hairbrush test going for just the blonde henna, I thought I'd see what that gets up to, and I'm not sure how long to leave it. I'm tempted to do it for longer than I actually would, since I've noticed that strand/hairbrush tests often come out lighter//less intensely treated than when you do your whole head. Do you still get the deep conditioning treatment when you gel henna, or do you only get the colour with the gel? And can you microwave this stuff?
