What about my '15 hr test' ?? *it was actually 22 : hrs* Wow, that's weird! Did it at least give the same colour as your previous test strands, or on your head for that matter, or no colour change at all? Hmm. The only other thing I wonder is if the mix was more than a couple of days old...even so you'd think at that length you'd see some difference, wouldn't you... I don't know what precise factors were different for me. I keep all my samples in the "hot press" -- the closet where my hot water tank lives. Its about 80 degrees F in there all the time. So it keeps my little test samples lovely and cosy! As far as the mix goes, it was a black coffee mix, and at least 12 hours old and there was a lot of dye release. I know my hair is very porous, and does take up the colour quite readily. I did another 8+ hour sample with my usual red wine mix and it wasn't quite as deep a result as the black coffee. It was still quite a dark red, but still a slight orange cast that just wasn't there on the other test. So there you go... Worth testing again anyway? Sorry to put the soapmaking on hold, not to mention the baby, kids, meals... hehehee!
