Color blonde hair

I have naturally light blonde hair and a few months ago I colored
them with a chemical dye to an reddish black color. I would like to
switch to Henna (I know I have to make a test on my hair of my
brush). I would like to keep my hair dark but every month they grow
blond. How is it possible to color the blonde roots to the same dark
color I choose? Is there Henna for blonde or grey hair? How long do I
have to wait before I can use Henna or do I have to cut my hair to be
blonde again and then color them with a black Henna?
