henna changing corkscrew curls?

Hi,

I've used henna 3 times now on my hair. I love the color, but have
noticed that the henna seems to have changed the curliness of my
hair. I've had corkscrew curls since I was a toddler (although I can
torture it straight with a blow dryer in very low humidity
conditions) and now my curls seem to be less tightly curled, more
wavy than curly. Are there any other curly girls out there who've
tried henna and found that it's changed their curls, or has anyone
heard of henna changing the texture of curly hair?
