Last I heard, you need quite a lot of acid, around 50%, otherwise it
doesn't stain well (and obviously she doesn't want it on her hair for
longer than is necessary). I haven't heard that anyone's had any
damage from lemon juice or other acids, though. Catherine or someone
else knowledgeable, what's the best acid for this occasion?
