Henna's bad smell & colds

Hi,
I just found this site while browsing the net looking for henna
related topics, and was delighted to find a "forum on henna"!!! Have
been trying for sometime to find replies to my queries about henna,
and hopefully think I have come to the right place.
To start with, I was using hair colours to cover my grey hair for a
long time, but was never comfortable using them due the fact that
they contained chemicals etc. However though I find henna a wonderful
alternative, the one main reason I used to avoid using henna was due
to the strong henna smell that lingers even after repeated
shampooing.It really smell's yucky and makes one self concious in a
crowd. Secondly I find applying henna and developing a cold infection
go hand in hand. Are there any natural ingredients that can be mixed
with the henna to give off a pleasant smell, and combat common colds.
