How to even out the grey....Posted by Kirsten on July 5, 2004 at 21:10:58: Hi Henna pro's <G>...I have recently returned to the henna fold- Ihave used "Grocery Store" boxes twice in the past 3 months, with decent success. First time with plain water (as per the box instructions), the second time (THANK YOU!) with lemon and espresso. My dark brown hair has a definite red tint, especially in the sun, but my single grey (ok, WHITE) strands look like orange soda. I dont have a lot of the grey/white, but it buggs me. I would love to even them out more. OK, so I have ordered 2 batches from Catherine, and they are tempting me as we speak. My questions....is it too soon to re henna (last time was 2 weeks ago) and is there something I can add to my mix to deepen those lighter strands (or will that happen with repeat hennas) - or to help the henna "stick" more to the light bits? I suspect this is a case of keep doing 'til you have the results you want, but I wanted to ask if I was missing something. I have to add that I am somewhat relieved that there are other folk out there that are hooked on this stuff - what is it about the combination of experience and results (yep, I like the smell too!) that makes you want to mix another batch <VBG>?.... Thanks for any suggestions....Kirsten
