: I've tried every combo suggested to add brown hair tones and the only
: thing I've found that works is using indigo equal parts with henna.
: cloves work for smell, but not to add brown. coffee works for
: getting a huge caffeine buzz, but did not add brown to my hair and it
: actually irritated my scalp in the process. I have medium brown hair
: and with the equal parts indigo and henna it went dark brown with
: reddish highlights in the sun.

I just did my second 50/50 henna/indigo mix after 4 weeks and my hair
is considerably darker with blackish tones. Last time it was much
browner/auburn. I think the repeat indigo in the mix is additive and
will eventually turn it black even mixed with henna. I think next
time I will just do straight henna and hope my darker roots match the
very dark twice henna/indigoed hair.
