I've tried every combo suggested to add brown hair tones and the only
thing I've found that works is using indigo equal parts with henna.
cloves work for smell, but not to add brown. coffee works for
getting a huge caffeine buzz, but did not add brown to my hair and it
actually irritated my scalp in the process. I have medium brown hair
and with the equal parts indigo and henna it went dark brown with
reddish highlights in the sun.
