I hennaed over highlighted (highlighted.. permanent coloured.. semi-
permanent coloured.. you name it, I'd had it!) hair & it was
absolutely fine.
You've already done the underneath of your hair, so you're pretty
sure there'll be no bad reaction & you'll have a good idea of what
colour your hair will turn out on top..
When I started hennaeing, I was worried that the highlighted parts,
that I'd covered with henna, would be a noticably different colour
to my natural hair re-growth at the roots.. but it blends in really
well & I can't tell any difference at all..
I've attached a photo of my hair, after my 3rd henna, just so you
can see what I mean. There's a fair amount of re-growth under my
henna, since I last had it highlighted.. & I didn't just have a few
highlights.. it was really blonde!
I'm also going to attach a photo of what my hair was like, in it's
chemically coloured state, before I hennaed (but I'll have to attach
that to a separate message)..
Use good quality henna & you'll get a lovely red colour, instead of
orange :o)
