Question for Catherine and everyone

First of all, I am fresh from my Very First Time with body art henna,
and am just delighted with the results. You know, up to now, I quite
believed all of you, but my skeptical little mind kept on saying
things like,'THEY may get such gorgeous hair from it, but YOU
won't...'. Well, I did! best ever!
Just one question, and this is one I don't think has been previosuly
posted here. Why on earth would I get a fiendishly itchy reaction the
second I began to rinse the henna out? [I used 200g, mixed it with
bottled lemon juice and water, let it sit overnight, plopped it on
and revelled in the way it felt for about seven hours.]It was
nothing but water - I didn't even use shampoo, although toward the
end of rinsing I did use conditioner. Today is Day 2, and there is
still some itching round the hairline, particularly the nape and
behind the ears. I am highly puzzled, and hope you can help. TIA.
Otherwise...if you look over the moon, you may see me there with my
beautiful red hair! [I'd love to show you what it looks like but
haven't a webcam.]
