Question for Ravyn GPosted by Anna on February 5, 2005 at 22:30:36: Hi Ravyn,I'm a young gray-head (30yrs old:80% gray!)and have been using henna and indigo (Catherine's body-art stuff) for about 8 months to try to make my hair dark dark brown or black (my original color). Although I've had some moments of enlightenment--my hair turning pretty dark on occasion, I've never had the results that you describe here (I've read all of your earlier posts). Does your indigo fade away to red after a wash or two? Mine does. I've experimented on dry hair, wet hair, using ingredients including: coffee, amla, red wine, nutmeg, walnut powder, salt water. I've also experimented with different dye-release times and "leave-in" times. Yikes! Maybe it's that cornstarch thing you do? Or maybe it's the texture of my hair (very thick, course Irish hair). The last time I sent out one of these sorts of pleas for help, Catherine advised me that I probably just have really strong keratin. Any advice greatly appreciated...Anna
