I'm only guessing herePosted by Elettaria on September 2, 2004 at 01:57:37: In reply to: I' posted by Elettaria on September 2, 2004 at 01:52:40: I've never chemically dyed my hair in my life, but I did henna forfour years and I know how much the henna weighs, apart from anything else. Applying henna is like very vigorous rubbing of your hair and scalp, like a thorough hairwash that takes much longer than usual. If your hair can't really take brushing or washing right now...? I think that all you can do is wait and see how your hair recovers, and then do very cautious testing. Did you look up hairbrush testing, which is described elsewhere on this site? It's when you harvest hair from your hairbrush and test the henna on that. Wait a while, see where hairbrush tests get you, and then think again. Hopefully your hair will recover. Maybe when it gets past a certain point, when most of the hair is new growth but there's still a certain amount of damaged ends, your hair will be able to cope?
