Lush henna is definitely safe as far as the ingredients go, since they
always list precisely what they use in their product. Unless, of
course, you are allergic to any of the ingredients they use.

As for shedding more hair when you henna, I have the same experience,
and I also have fine hair that breaks fairly easily, and which tangles
even easier. I suspect it may be the process of putting the henna on
that breaks off/pulls out hair.
