Indigo & henna help

Hi everyone! I have been using henna exclusively again for about 4
months now. Prior to that my hair had been chemically processed to a
blond color. (My natural color is a mohogany with red tones in the
sunlight.)

I returned to henna after I got fed up with the damage and split
ends and had my hair DRASTICALLY cut to remove all the damage. I
would love to get back to the dark burgandy red that I had when I
used henna about 3-4 years ago but since the layers are building on
a blonde base now (except for where there is new growth) it is
showing as more of an auburn. I want to even out my hair color
between the new growth and old and return to a deep burgandy color.
I am wondering if a combination of henna and indigo would help me
reach my goals. Any suggestions/recommendations? (I do have the
benefit of a friend even more experienced with henna to help me with
the application but her experience with indigo is limited.) I am, of
course, using body art quality henna and the indigo has been
purchased here)
