henna on EXTREMELY damaged colored hair?Posted by melrose on September 1, 2004 at 13:54:45: About a month ago my colorist destroyed my hair by applying achemical dye twice in a row. My hair is horribly damaged from root to tip. I cannot wash or brush it properly because it is fried and breaking off. It is the worst hair damage I have ever seen, it is amazing I have any hair on my head. If I were to cut off all the damage I would have a crew cut... NOW my question: In about a month and a half I am going to have my hair cut. Some damage will be removed but much will remain. Since I will NEVER use chemical dyes on my hair again, I wish to use a brown dye over my red dyed hair to blend it with the roots as my naturally brown hair grows in.. -Is it safe to used henna on hair that was chemically dyed 2 months before? -Is it safe to use henna on SEVERELY damaged hair? Thanks so much, I am brand new to this and have a lot to learn!
